A playful sculpture of a pair of bare feet, borrowed from the language of classical statues. Two softly modelled feet, with every toe and toenail carefully defined, sit beneath a draped, ruffled cuff that looks like folded fabric caught in stone. On top, a triangular recess holds a single incense stick and catches the ash as it burns.
It's cast in a chalky, matte finish with a lightly textured surface, so it reads like a fragment of an old museum piece, with a sense of humour. Lit or unlit, it adds a characterful touch to a shelf, side table or bathroom ledge, and it makes an easy gift for anyone who loves objects with personality.
