Cadence Shelf — Black Oak
£1,450.00
Cadence is a low, open shelf built around rhythm. Two tiers of slim vertical dividers in black-stained oak create eighteen tall compartments. Each has a low back panel, so the upper part of the shelf stays open and light passes through. The result is something between a bookcase and a screen: graphic from the front and surprisingly airy from the side.
Its long, low proportions make it work as a console behind a sofa, along a hallway or under a window. The upright compartments are made for books, magazines, records and portfolios, stored spine-out like a library or propped open to show a favourite cover. Because the back is low, it can also stand freely in the middle of a room as a divider, so open-plan spaces get structure without feeling closed in. Use the top for lamps, ceramics and sculptural objects.
